Description: Large card mounted albumen photograph of family and farm workers on a farm with a large brick Italianate house and barn. Women hold babies and children on the balcony above the front porch. Horse-drawn wagons and carriages are in the driveway and workers hold pitchforks. Wooden braces support newly-planted trees and several pine trees are in the yard.Written on the back is This is the old Swerengen house before the fire / (now Bird Hill / Picture given Frances Rabb by Mr. Charlie Sweringen. The lender stated that her ancestor Frances Morrison Rabb had later lived in the house when it was called Bird Hill.
