Boy with flowers at grave of Addie Keener Morris, Wabash County, Indiana, circa 1912

Description: A young boy, wearing a straw hat and a summer suit with short pants and stockings, holds flowers near the grave of Addie I. Keener (1875-1909), wife of Chas. E. Morris (born 1868). They are buried in Center Grove Cemetery in Lincolnville, Lagro Township, Wabash County. Charles, whose death date is not yet on the tombstone, died December 23, 1952.Research shows that Addie Irene Keener and Charles Edgar Morris were the parents of three children: Arnold Charles Morris (1896-1981), an infant who died in 1907, and Robert Morris, born on April 25, 1909. Robert was born just twelve days before Addies death on May 7, 1909, probably indicating that she died from complications of childbirth. He is possibly the child depicted, although the postcard does not have a caption. Robert died of infantile paralysis at age three on August 27, 1912 and is buried in the same cemetery.
