Businesses on the ground level of the brick Opera House with an 1895 date stone are the Crystal Theatre (with a horn-shaped speaker above the door); John H. Messner drygoods, boots, and shoes; and D. K. Butt groceries. Located in adjacent buildings are Edward Held Dry Goods and Notions and a bakery and restaurant. These buildings were located on the northwest corner of Monroe and Railroad Streets. |
