Clark & Co., Vance Block, Indianapolis, Ind.Republican Oliver P. Morton (1823-1877) was Indianas 14th governor, serving during the American Civil War. In 1867 he was elected as a U.S. Senator. During his second term, he had a stroke and died at his Indianapolis home on November 1, 1877.
