Store and grain elevator, Scircleville, Indiana, circa 1910

Description: On the right is a grain elevator and store with a sign that reads Sims and Ashpaugh Grain Seeds and Coal. On the left is two-story brick building with signs reading The Golden Rule General Merchandise and Get a Ticket. Postmarked November 16, 1910.The buildings, demolished sometime after 1970, faced east on South Main Street (South County Road 1100 East) and were located on the southwest corner of the railroad tracks and South Main Street. Through the years the brick building housed a grocery store, bank, and postoffice, with upstairs apartments.
