Photostatic copy of the last will and testament of John Baptiste Richardville, principal chief of the Miami nation of Indians written April 9, 1841. Among his beneficiaries were his children, grandchildren, niece and great-grandchildren. He asked that Allen Hamilton and Julian Benoit be appointed executors of his will. Probate of the will was ordered, adjudged and decreed on November 14, 1844. This image file was derived from a 300 dpi, 8-bit, uncompressed TIFF image that was scanned from the original using a Fijtsu M4097D IPC scanner with Jasc Paint Shop Pro 9 software, grayscale configuration |
