Polks Action Authorizing the Retention of a Portion of the Miami Indians Annuities To Be Applied Towards Their Debts

Description: Following a resolution by the Senate on February 24, 1846, President James K. Polk authorized the application a certain portion of the annuities to be paid the Miami Indians to be retained and applied towards the payment of their debts.
