Description: |
A penciled note on the back of this image says that the photograph was taken in 1933. There is some obvious construction going on in the street to the left of the trolley. The men in the photograph are identified from left to right as C. Sigler [Charlie was a longtime superintendent of the Winona], G. Boone, Theodore C. Frazer [he was a one time owner of the Winona] and J. Motto. Winona Railroad trolley No. 21 is stopped on Market Street near the intersection of Indiana Street in front of the Warsaw Times Building, and is heading east. An older car can be seen as well as workmen on the street. It is possible that they are removing the rails as the Winona ended city car service in 1938. |
