Sign reads, Zondervan Book Store. Captions read, Distinctive Religious Books and Supplies, Winona Lake, Indiana. The Zondervan Bookstore was operated by the Grand Rapids, Michigan publisher of the same name. This was their second retail bookstore (they would eventually operate over 250 retail bookstores under the Family name. They came to Winona in 1937 and sold books, music and cards (box sets of all occasion, Christmas, etc) from their Park Ave. store. The demise of the summer conferences caused the store to close. |
