A group of Winona College students standing in front of the Mount Memorial building. The writer states that the wind was blowing and their hair looks like thirty cents, which was an expression that meant cheap or tawdry.Winona College existed for about 10 years from 1908 until 1918, but its last full year was 1917. Winona Normal College (school teacher training) became Winona College.Winona Academy, the Agriculture School and the Conservatory of Music were absorbed by Winona College.
