I think Edward was just a little homesick the first day here - He will be glad to get to grandmas He liked traveling in the Pullman. Love - Ella. Addressed to, Mrs. Allen Melzgev, Shindsburg, Pa., Route 1.
The pier in this moon lit scene appears to be the old pier at Kosciusko Lodge. The writer talks about taking a Pullman car. Pullman Cars were sleeping cars and they required a premium fare. This person traveled in a first class manner.
