Auditorium and Grove 1908

Description: Front: Script on artwork reads, Auditorium and Grove, Winona Lake, Ind.Back: Body of message reads, 5-10-08, Dear Mae, Your card recd. Thanks for same. I like my work just fine, and am going to stay all summer, so I guess you will have to get along without me. Is there anyone in my place yet? I would like to see you all very much, but will have to live without you I guess. Ralph is all O.K. and enjoying himself. Your friend Margaret. Addressed to, Miss Mae Sturgeon, Kokomo Ind. T. Thalman & Levi.
The message on the back of the card indicates that the young lady was hired in May to work the summer season in Winona Lake. Many locals were hired, however over the years people came from all over the United States to work for the summer. Many school teachers and lots of students worked at the various businesses and enjoyed the programs of the Chautauqua and Bible Conference.
