Addressed to, Mrs. Perry M. Owens, Clarinda, Iowa, Route 4, Box 24. The Dukes Fountain was one of the most recognized fountains at Winona Lake. The fountain was located in the area between the Winona Hotel and the Billy Sunday Tabernacle. It was a gift of the A. N. Dukes of Peru, Indiana. Dukes was on the Winona Assemblys Board of Directors. He was president of Indiana Manufacturing Co. located in Peru, Indiana. The present day Hospital in Peru, Indiana bears his name as well. |
