Ive been having a wonderful time here at camp. Mom and Dad and Erie came out to see me a while back and I sure was glad to see them. Well be going home on August 26. We can see the Chicago Boys Club beach activity along Winona Lake in this 1947 copyrighted postcard. The beach house housed rest rooms, offices, changing areas and, based upon the Red Cross flag, a first aid area. One can see the wooden pier, canoes and wooden rowboats as well as swimmers. The beach area was near the present day home of Dr. Dane Miller.
