Cherry Creek Bridge

Description: Script in upper left reads, Cherry Creek Bridge, Winona Lake, Ind.
This is a very early image of the bridges over Cherry Creek. Winona Lake (the body of water) is to the west of the bridges. The distant shorelines appear to be forested. The bridge in the foreground was for pedestrian, horse and buggy, and automobiles. The smaller brigde carried the narrow guage railroad that traversed between the entrance of Winona Lake and Kosciusko Lodge. The use of the two large wooden barrels is open to speculation. A place to water horses? A water source in case one of the bridges caught fire or some other purpose?
