This was a generic postcard scene, that manufactures printed a location such as Winona Lake, Indiana on the card. You might find the same image with Van Wert, Ohio or Clinton, Iowa printed on them. The buying public did not seem to care as thousand of these cards show up for sale, which means that someone bought them.
