Clementine Tangeman Speaking at the Dedication Ceremony for the Irwin Library at Butler University

Seated left to right are Harold L. Boisen, Beauford A Norris, Elsie Irwin Sweeney, Harry T. Ice, president of Butler University Dr. Alexander E. Jones, Dr. Allegra Stewart, and Mr. Craig E. Pinkus. Mrs. Tangeman was the vice-president of the Irwin-Sweeney Miller Foundation, which donated $1.5 million of the $2 million in construction costs for the library. The ceremony took place in the atrium area of the library. The library was designed by noted architect Minoru Yamasaki.
