STUDENT COUNCILIFyjO■This year, as in the last several years, theStudent Council has continued supportingTruus, a war orphan. Since the recreationroom is rather new, many improvementswere needed. Redecoration was started andnew games were purchased for the entertainment of all. Upon recommendation ofthe Council, the faculty sponsored an allschool party, which may become an annualaffair.In co-operation with the Quad, the Student Council sponsored a school-wide cleanup program. This program featured betterjanitorial service and more co-operationfrom the student body.After spending the past two years discussing plans to revise the constitution, itwas rewritten this year.Other accomplishments of the StudentCouncil were getting permission for longerpep sessions, selling concessions at the football games, recommending a Mayday to besponsored by the Parent-Teacher association, suggesting that there be a new activities schedule, and getting a greater varietyof foods in the cafeteria.Page thirty-four |
