Description: JUNIOR HISTORYAs Freshmen, the Junior Class started itssenior high school years with two main activities. The class held a skating party andlater they sponsored their first dance, TheFall Hop,” at which a queen and king werechosen and crowned.When they became Sophomores the classwasn’t organized, but had a council composedof six members. This council arranged severalactivities which everyone in the class enjoyed.In April of that year the class sponsored thePick and Shovel” dance. Three class picnicswere held during the summer at various stateparks.This year the Juniors took the lead andsponsored the first dance of the year, The HiHop.” On January 30 they held the GrandOpening of Clementine’s Saloon” with swinging doors and a root beer bar. This danceturned out to be one of the most originaldances of the year. March 19 was the date ofthe traditional Junior Penny Carnival, withusual activities and a stage show as the mainfeature. The crowd was large and the carnival was pronounced a definite success.The Junior-Senior Prom, the highlight ofthe Junior activities took place on May 13,amid soft music, dim lights, and beautifuldecorations.
