Description: MR. OTTO HUGHESMr. Hughes received his A.B. degree from FranklinCollege and his A.M. degree from Indiana University.After serving as elementary principal in Clay Township,he taught in Boggstown High School. He was a socialstudies teacher at Columbus High School and served asprincipal and superintendent there, before coming toUniversity School in 1945 to be assistant principal. During the past two years, Mr. Hughes has repeatedly provenhimself worthy of the esteem and admiration with whichthe students of the University School regard him.MR. A. PRYCE NOEBefore coming to University School, Mr. Noe servedas coach, teacher, principal, and superintendent of various Indiana schools. He is now the able and well-likedSchool Supervisor of Junior High.MR. FRED E. HARRISMr. Harris was an instructor in the Department of Education at Indiana State Teachers College in Terre Hautebefore coming to University School. He is now Elementary Supervisor.MISS RUTH ALEXANDERMiss Alexander received her A.B. and A.M. degrees fromIndiana University. She has been here since the openingof University School and for the past five years has beendean of girls. She is also a Latin teacher.MISS MARTHA JANE RISSERBefore coming here two years ago, Miss Risser was principal of Roosevelt High School in Monticello, Indiana.She is the assistant dean of girls and for the past twoyears she has been sponsor of the Student Council. Sheis also an English teacher.MR. A. DALE ALLENMr. Allen came to us from Newcastle High Schoolwhere he was assistant principal and dean of boys. Hetook Mr. Hughes’ place as assistant principal of UniversitySchool. He also teaches social studies.MR. VIRGIL E. SCHOOLERMr. Schooler, instructor, critic teacher, Director ofAthletics, and coach at University School, is also dean ofboys.
