Description: isrpEj1 it i1 1H**pVTHIRD GRADEThis year Miss Eloise McKnight has been teaching the children of the third grade to appreciate the world about them. Teacher and students together studied the sun and the moon,butterflies, beavers, owls, ants, and other things of nature. At Christmas time the childrenlearned Christmas songs, the story of each song, and something about the writer. The secondsemester was devoted to a unit on transportation by land, by water, and by air. The class madea visit to a trailer house, and they took a trip to a filling station. They have been digging into itshistory and discovering the beauties and interests of its countryside and cities. By learning moreabout Indiana, the fourth grade students are on their way to becoming better citizens.
