In the fall, football and cross country produced two outstanding teams. Later as the basketball teamheld its own against local rivals, wrestlers toured the state, proving that wrestling is not necessarily a big-school sport. In the spring, baseball, track, golf and tennis teams make full use offacilities provided us by Indiana University. Thegolf team uses lU’s new 18 hole course, whilethe tennis team volleys at the Trees Centercourts. The baseball nine practices on the IUpractice field. When it is too cold to practiceoutdoors, the track team works out in the fieldhouse. Thus all year long, both contact andnon-contact sports are available to all boys. Asmall boy is not penalized at U-School, but maybe an outstanding performer in light-weightwrestling or in cross country. All in all, University School offers opportunities1 to participate in most sports activities.
