Description: (jJjl JjmJl Oh&atLThe traditional climax to anevening of fun is the after-gamedance presented by the seniors.Proceeds are used to support thebulging budget of the class.Seniors ... at last! We find ourselves imagining we seefaces of May’s grads in the rush between classes, but soonthe impact of the realization that we’re seniors hits us aswe . . . play a little game of give-and-take with Mr. Thurston — equipment — yellow question sheets . . . take hoursof tests to find out what we do know, and what we shouldknow . . . sponsor a magazine sale, backed by the officers, class sponsors, and council . . . “produce” the 1956 JOR-DANNUS convo ... as we order namecards and commencement invitations . . . anticipate English research papers. . . measurements are taken for caps and gowns ... wepicnic on the front lawn on Tramp Day . . . memories arespotlighted, and we are filled with pride as we sing ourfarewell song during the Senior Convo. Then, the Prom. . . and the next day, Baccalaureate . . . then, Senior Week— the class unites in its final fling climaxed by Commencement. Hours of preparation for the moment we. clasp ourdiplomas seem very worthwhile. Four years ago we stoodon the threshold of a high school education; today we standon the threshold of the world.4 * i
