These included PhilRichardson, shot putter; Don Goodwin,dash man; Steve Hoadley, middle and longdistance runner, and Bob Dickerman, milerunner.The team met Ben Davis and LawrenceCentral and came out on the short end ofthe match. The thinlies then participatedin the Hoosier Relays at Indiana University.This meet was one of the biggest in thenation and was sponsored by Howe HighSchool of Indianapolis this year.After the Hoosier Relays, the team metMitchell and Ellettsville in a three waymeet. Shawswick was a new school addedto the schedule this year for the first time.Near the end of the season the thinliesalso took part in the Linton Relays and theWashington Relays.The golf team under the able assistanceof Coach Frank Smith competed in an elevenmeet schedule. Five boys took part in eachout of town meet and the entire squadparticipated at home contests. Schools onthe schedule included Gerstmeyer of TerreHaute, Columbus, Bedford, Wiley and Garfield of Terre Haute, and New Albany.
