Severaltimes a year the orchestra participates inschool convocations.Each year the orchestra contributes a significant part of commencement exercises. Theyplay the well known “Pomp and Circumstance”as the seniors walk slowly down the aisle.Choral Club—First row: Donella Jackson, JustineDane, Robert Hull, Beverly Riggs, and Teena Patton.Second row: Jeanette Adams, Linda Zoerner, HelenHope, Judy Cecil, Beverly Walden, Sharon Wylie,Nancy Reeves, Virginia Trumpy, Jeanne Peterson, andJane Stephens. Third row: Joan Velton, MelissaBaldwin, Julie Bergevin, Ann Baker, Helen Topolgus,Janet Martin, Barbara Deckard, Susie Baker, and AnnSmith. Fourth row: Alice Strain, Pauline Smith, AnnGoby, Esther Irwin, Ann Moorman, Carol Cason,Betty Strunk, Margie Rash, and Pam Moody.Along with the school hand they participatein a statewide contest. Schools are dividedinto classes and ranked first, second, and soforth.In front of every orchestra or hand is thesongster or songstress.
