Description: CONTAINS MANY PIECEStMargie Rash, Bob Edwards, Jane Cook, Mary Fattu,Janet Martin, and Betsy Bardwell get ready to sellhot dogs to IU football fans, at the Publications Stand.Government was one of the most discussed subjects of theSenior Class. Mr. Thurston and his yellow work sheets rana close second!A familiar sight to spectators at the IndianaUniversity football games was the U-SchoolPublications Stand across from the stadiumon Tenth Street. Hot dogs, soft drinks, andcandy were sold by members of the Quad andJordannus staffs. The profit made on thisventure was split between these two organizations. One of the more unpleasant things that aSenior dreads during his last year in highschool is the Government class. One canhardly blame the student for this attitude because of the density of the subject. However,on entering the class, the student soon bcomesinterested and wonders why he dreaded theclass. Thanks to Mr. Thurston, the complexity ofour government begins to be more easily understood, and the parts of another puzzle are fitted together. The “rec-room” is generally packed during both of the lunch periods of the schoolday. Students dance, talk, and play ping-pong as they take their noonday break.i I-*
