Description: SENIuh CLaSS HISTORYhhen the present Senior Class entered the Unionville High*School, six years ago in September, therewas a total number of 48 enrolled in our class. Thiswas tne largest class ever to enroll in this highschool. The class was so large it was divided intothe X’s and the Y’s (not so wise though). Both sections prospered very much ana passed into the eighthgrade.The next year our class was composed of 39 members. The class was divided again this year into theBoys’ and Girls’ Groups. The boys behaved too poorlyto be in the sane section with the girls—or was theclass just too large? Both sections again mast,the tasks of the eighth grade and were passed or tothe ninth.In the fall of 1933, thirty-seven of us, now’’Green Fresliies, started on our four yerr trip withgraduation, from U. h. S. as our destination, underthe guidance of Principal T. L. Boardman. a grandsendoff we were initiated by the sophomores, and v.estill have memories of the shave and haircut indtile cooked fishing worms. The members of the classwho were in the Glee Clubs participated in an operetta, ’’Sunbonnet Sue, under the direction of MissFrieda ilcDomld. One member of our class, GericviYoung, wt s a. character in the Junior play, ’t^ere uoutTimee Knights.For sone reason, perhaps on account of the coldly monster, Study, or perhaps the terrors of theinitiation, or maybe or: account of the length ; nuhardships of the journey to graduation, several members of our group dropped out so th: t only 29 pupilsentered as Sophomores in September, 1934. Severe 1 members of Ptclass were selected to be meribers of the c: st of t^.Junior Class play, hose of the hr st SidY’, becauseof the sru 11 ifunber in ths Junior Cl: ss. The cl: ssprospered end in time survived all atttcks of Geometry, World History, and Latin, and begin to look forward, with a new hope, to tho Junior year.
