Description: BANDOne organization of which we are very-proud is the Unionville High School Band.Under the direction of Mrs. Fritz, the bandhas increased in number to twenty-five members. This section of the music departmentoffers a wonderful opportunity to those whowish to develop their musical ability. During the school year our band has participatedin many community affairs. The membershave sponsored entertainments of varioussorts in order to raise money with which tobuy new uniforms. They have made a goodstart and will continue to work toward theirgoal. The majorettes have had specialtraining this year and should help to makeour band much better.CHORUS“Music washes away from the soulthe dust of every day life.’* The chorussang at the Tri-County Music Festivaland at Baccalaureate. They were happyto be able to assist the Band in raisingmoney for new uniforms by helping withthe Unionville School Music Festival inthe fall.Dorothy Marbry’s Father: “That musicmy daughter is singing is very difficult.”Dorothy’s Brother: “I only wish it wereimpossible.”PLAYGROUND“All Work and No Play Makes Jack a DullBoy.” The children evidently accept this oldadage as good advice. The sunshine and freshair refresh them and give them renewed vigorto start their afternoon classes.39
