Unionville High School, The Graphic, 1946, Page 38

Description: tustateesi faulty, Maseighth grade, I started my sports career, playing as a regular forward on theEllettsville Junior Hi Team.During the summer of 1942 we moved again, this time to our present location near Unionville. That fall, I received my initiation into Unionville HighSchool. I quickly made friends and was soon entering into all school activities, including baseball, basketball, and noon-hour boxing. Oh, that boxing! Pastexperience at the Joint School held Me in good stead here, and I was able tostay on my feet.During my sophomore year, I had the honor of playing as a regular guardon the basketball team, and I have remained at that position for the last threeyears. I was also elected president of the sophomore class, which was mostlyan honorary position with very little responsibility. I was re-elected presidentof the junior class and also had a leading part in the class play “Too ManySmiths.’’And now, as a Senior, poised on the top step of the ladder of education andlooking somewhat fearfully at the uncertain world before me, I can look backwith satisfaction at the years behind me and cross my fingers as I take the finalstep--graduation.
