To our disappointment the Eagles defeated us by a score of 47-39.S. H. S. and HelmsburgThe Lads met the Helmsburg Tigers on November 12, at Stinesville. They proudlyand soundly gave the Helmsburg five a surprise beating. S. H. S. 40 - H. H. S. 39.S. H. S. and GosportThe next Friday night, November 19, the Gosport Indians came across the river forthe battle of the little brown jug. After a tough fight they handed the Lads a hard defeatwith a score of 48-34.S. H. S. and UnionvilleThe boys went to Unionville for their second game away from home. Then after a fasthard game the Arrows finally defeated the Lads with a score of 40-35.S. H. S. and SolsberryAll rested up from Thanksgiving Vacation, the Quarry Lads played host to theSolsberry five, and after a rousing game, the Quarry Lads defeated them on December 1,by a score of 34-28.S. H. S. and UniversityThe Quarry Lads greeted University High School of Bloomington with a warmreception on December 4. The Quarry Lads sneaked in with a couple of quick plays but itwas too late. The Guinea Pigs thumped the Lads with the score of S. H. S. 43 - U. H. S.53.S. H. S. and MorgantownThe Lads packed their hand bags and journeyed to Morgantown on December 10. Itseemed to be one of their off nights for the Quarry Lads so the Trogans walloped them32-27.S. H. S. and SmithvilleThe Quarry Lads welcomed the Smithville Skibos on their own floor and after avery rousing game December 17. The Lads won with a victory of 45-41.S. H. S. and HelmsburgThe Quarry Lads were accepted by the Helmsburg Tigers at Helmsburg. Having beenbeaten by the Lads the Tigers wanted revenge and were waiting.
