If read intelligently, we shall be taughttolerance and generosity toward all men who do not seeexactly as we do or do not agree with us. In their study ofhistory I hope that the students of our school have gainedsome of these advantages. At least it should become amedium through which they are provided with the means ofunderstanding the complex and perplexing problem which arecurrent in America and other parts of the world.AGRICULTUREThe agriculture department took off to an interestedstart with forty boys registering in beginning and advancedcourses on farming. The first part of the year was spent inbecoming familiar with the existing farm problems, whilelater in the year solutions were worked out for theseproblems.Courses were offered in animal Husbandry, Soils andcrops and Horticulture. At times the vocational teachertook the classes on field trips in order to give examples ofwhat was read in books. At the beginning of the year the departments librarywas rather disarranged due to not having a vocationalteacher for four years. After the classes were organized, the department started to increase its library and sourcesof information. Each boy enrolled in a vocational agriculture classalso must have a project to complete his unit in the course.Projects vary greatly in the different localities but as ageneral rule the boys take a project in animal Husbandry. The department have boys from every class from 7th to12th, with three 12th year boys taking advanced Agriculture.
