A long time ago Will Thomas was awhite boy who was adopted by a CherokeeChief by the name of Drowning Bear.Drowning Bear called William, Little Will.When Little Will grew up he did many thingsfor the Cherokee people. He owned ageneral store and at one time was a NorthCarolina Senator before the Civil War.When the Civil War started Little Will wason the south side and he lead the CherokeeLegion into the Civil War.Later after the removal of the Trailof Tears the Cherokees couldnt buy theirland. William, since he was a white man175*could buy land. He bought their land andheld the deeds until the land could be givenback. So, you see, he did many good things.Sarah Thomas Campbell came inthe galleiy and museum that week and wentthrough who was to have what on her 90thbirthday which was on that Thursday.My trip to Cherokee wasindescribable!Christa AbramSnake SlavesIn a far, far land away, wheresnakes ruled and humans obeyed,but the humans decided to escapeone day.
