Jenniseyes moved slowly across her books pageand slowly moved her position to a morecomfortable one. Everyone slowly sinksinto silence. David moves his fingersslowly across the keys on Naomis portabletypewriter. Someone plays the pianodownstairs badly. Marabai reads a storysomeone has written. Christa thinksquietly and makes strange movements withher eyebrows. She looks at the filledchalkboard for help. Cogls book opens tothe place he reads. Heidi whispers softlywith Rachel and Cogl crumples up a Cokecan as softly as possible. Emma talkssoftly but not In a whisper. Christa readsher story to herself and mouths the words.Marabai reads. David sticks a clay mass tothe table slowly. I write, obviously. Heidiexclaims, Ow! and laughs. Everyonequietly and contently has hunger pangs.Camellia CosgrayChapter IV - The VillageIt had seven little houses. It lookedpeaceful with lots of eyes looking at thetravelers. Ithad been terrorizing the village.Help, said a voice.Its after me, said another. It’sback, cried Charles and all the fighters inthe village turned around and saw a dragonand started fighting it.Its time to find out what force mysword is. I hope it is good, said Romulus toCharles.When he held it a flash of lightappeared.
