uis a magazinedevotedto a simple idea:by learning about youI learn about me.Intro 1/ThenU represents the coming of age of twenty yearsof Harmony School publishing. In that spanhundreds of kids have floated throughthousands of pages. They were important to us& in this magazine weve hopefully built upontheir skills, quirks, & foresight. Thank youGrace, Naomi, Camellia, Nathan, Christian,Greta, Dan, David, Kyla, Emmi, Noa, Rejoyce,Caitlin, Marabai, Cedar, Noah, Jeremy 1 & 2,Ann, Riley, Tia, Soriya, Neil, Austin, Misty,Hannah, Julia, Kejal, Gwen, Sara, Estela, Shirin,Heather, Peter & truly, hundreds of others.Intro 2/NowU was a scary proposition and a ratherunpopular one. After all, students were asked toforego their most cherished yearbook tradition--their own page. Furthermore, Us staffers wereasked to be journalists, statisticians, &researchers. Our layout crew, a dedicated groupof cut & pasters, were asked to learn computerprograms that normal humans cant fathom.Indeed, it was an uphill struggle. Thats wheresome people came in: Mitch Rice who helpedfigure out our hardware needs; Drew & Isaacwho did the same with our software; Andy & asmall group of students who got the ball rollingin the fall & a wonderful group that finished itin the spring. But as a total package thatinvolves manipulating photography, text, &graphics, four students were truly responsiblefor what you see-Hannah, RovZerina, Carolyn,& Tanya They generously gave of their time, talents & tenacity & without that there wouldntbe a book. |
