• Jim Bakker: Year 5 & Counting/ ■■ Greetings Harmony Students,Believe it or not, Ive been invited to be a part of yourwonderfully zany and creative yearbook again!Several years ago while sitting in a prison cell, I opened the1 first letter from Harmony School. I could not believe anyoneJ would want me to write for their school yearbook as I felt likeP a complete social outcast. At this present time of my life, Iam writing a book about my prison years. The part that HarmonySchool played in my self-worth and healing will be described inthe pages of this book. One of my goals is to meet Marty Belcher, Educatorextraodinaire, and the creative people who keep turning out this( yearbook. Be thankful you are a part of a school that teachestruth and tolerance, and encourages self-expression. Never feartruth or information. Fear only those who would keep us fromlistening to each other and who would keep us from searching for• truth and following our dreams. But always remember half-truthis as dangerous as a lie, or maybe more so.Your yearbook theme, again, intrigued me this year. Did youknow God says, Believe it or not? He says we can live foreverif we believe. Wow! That sound like a good deal, doesnt it?What do we have to believe? That Jesus Christ is the Son ofGod. This means we believe Jesus Christ was born of the VirginMary and He died on a cross for our sins and rose from the dead.Let me show you the scripture where Gods Word says, Believe itor not. John 3:18 (Use New King James or Catholic Bible.) Hethat believes on Him is not condemned; but he that believes notis condemned already because he hath not believed in the name ofthe only begotten Son of God. So we do not have to do anythingto be condemned of God, but to live with God forever we mustbelieve that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God.As far as Im concerned, this is the most important Believe ItOr Not in all the world. Can you believe that Jesus Christloves you so much that He died for you? It is up to you toBelieve it or not.I love you all.im Bakker |
