Bass Drum:Martha Turner.Under the supervision of Miss Mildred Reeves and Mr. Forrest Steen, of Crawfordsville, theband was organized in 1938. Since that time the band has played at the Indiana TrusteesConvention three years in succession. After playing at the Indiana State Fair, they were ratedamong the first of small high school bands in Indiana.These members of the band have made a big success at the games at the half. They havehelped carry on the tradition as tops, and are very proud to be represented in this manner.These students, ranging from the fourth grade to the seniors, represent another kind of spiritwhich keep Oogies nest alive with music.Page forty-twoThe 1946 Llamarada |
