Owl Sop/wmofi£AWe have advanced to the tenth grade and are no longercalled greenies. At least, we think we are becoming wiserbecause we have chosen Mr. St. John and Mr. Fiscus as oursponsors.Mr. Fiscus served as our sponsor during the first semester.We were fortunate to obtain an experienced teacher, Mr. St.John, who was recently discharged from the Navy. Mr. St.John has made us realize the value of an education in ourfuture lives, because he discovered the value of an education inthe Navy.We are proud of the fact that we are well represented bythree of our boys on both the first and second teams in basketball. Fred DeFord and Richard Kale are representing our classon the second team, and Ed Hudson is on the varsity team.Everyone in our class is bubbling over with joy because weare very well represented on the monthly honor-roll. If ourstudents maintain a high scholastic record through our highschool days, we will make our future community a better placein which to live.Marcella and Barbara Howard made the Sophomores shinewhen they made an outstanding showing at the National Demonstration Contest in Ohio. They not only made the Sophomoresproud of them but also made the entire school proud.The second year in high school has been completed by usSophomores.
