Ji&uuv&uLLast Spring the Llamarada Staffcame to me and asked, Oogie, youvebeen around here ever since Ellettsvillewas founded. Why dont you show everybody the school through the eyes of the1946 yearbook? I was glad to oblige; sohere I am.When I arrived at Ellettsville in 1915, I wasaccompanied by an enthusiastic group of one hundred and fifty pupils and three teachers. Now, I hnzz around every day among four hundred and sixty pupilsand eighteen teachers. See how weve grown?Ellettsville still has all those little things that make a real school, like crew cuts, Joe talk, silver hair clips, white cords, dirty saddles, Indian bracelets, and a wonderful school spirit. This year my job is to try to show you all these things. I hope you will enjoy meeting us and learningabout us here at Ellettsville. But times a wastin, so lets cut the preliminaries and get started.Mr. Stewart, Principal, and Mrs. Lyles, Assistant, in school office. The 1946 LlamaradaPage five |
