RADUATE^r ft ftBob St. Clair, better known as Speedy,has played in two major sports: Basketball and softball. Speedy played threeyears on the second team in basketball,but during his senior year he played varsity ball and was a valuable man on CoachEstells team. He played ball three yearson the softball team and was a regular thelast two. He not only had playing abilitybut also good sportsmanship and eagerness to win, which will be something forother boys to follow.*Last but not least we have the managersof the local ball team. The basketballboys were not asked to do anything exceptplay ball, but to the two managers wentall the dirty work. Jack and Ralph feelright at home among dirty, stinking socks,pants, and shirts. Many times after schoolthese boys could be seen washing and re-washing dirty clothes and keeping thedressing room in good shape. Jack hasbeen shuffling around the locker room fortwo years as manager, and Ralph hookedon to the washing brigade only this yearas an able assistant.Page Forty-three |
