Description:	-LLAMARADA-ACTIVITIESSenior ActivitiesSENIORS AT McCORMICKS CREEKThe seniors had a class party at McCormicks Creek State Park, JanuaryoO. We played Rook, Chinese Checkers, and Bingo. Mr. Stewart and Norrisseemed to be able to win every time in Rook. But no wonder! They had signals.Gifts were given to Mr. Sakel and Mr. Stewart by the boys of the class. Thegifts were two big cigars. Mr. Stewart was very pale the next day. After thegames were played, refreshments were served—ginger ale, ham salad sandAviches,cookies, and wafers. The party was a success. The teachers present were Mr.Stewart, Miss Harding, Mr. Sakel, Miss Smith, Mrs. Buchanan, and Mr. Graves.After the party nearly everyone went to Spencer, and some didnt get in untilmorning.SENIORS SEE SIGHTSThe seniors and their civic teacher, Mrs. Buchanan, and a few juniors tooka trip to Indianapolis Thursday, February 13. Mr. Floyd Brown took us in hisschool bus. Of course, it had to rain, but never let it be said that a little raincould stop us! We visited the State House and saw the Senators and Representatives at work. Were we proud when Mr. Bed well, our Senator, introduced usand we received a big hand! We visited the World War Memorial, the Soldiersand Sailors Monument, and the WIRE radio station. We had fun riding theescalators and spent a lot of time on them. After we saw the historic places,we went to the movies and rested our weary bones.SENIORS VISIT SHOWERSS AND POOR FARMThe seniors visited Showerss Factory and the Monroe County Poor FarmMarch 18 under the supervision of Mr. Ryan, Mr. Stewart, and Miss Harding.Mr. Ryan explained the different processes in the factory. The poor farm gaveus a depressing feeling. We hope to take more trips later.SENIORS PRESENT PIGTAILSOn March 13 and 14 the Seniors presented their comedy, Pigtails. Itwas a success and drew- a large audience. The spectators witnessed a proposalfrom Bob Loesch to Betty Ratliff. There were laughs galore, and it was enjoyedby all—even the cast. We all think Buford is adorable in a mustache and thinkhe should grow one.JUNIOR AND SENIOR BANQUETThe seniors were entertained April 26 by the juniors in the Union Buildingat Indiana University. After the banquet the juniors took the seniors to a midnight show. Ill not say where they went after the show, but from reports, Iknow everyone had a marvelous time; and we seniors do thank the juniors forsuch a fine banquet.Page Thirty-seven
