LLAMARADASENIOR CLASS HISTORYWe entered school in the fall of 1926. Mrs. Frances Brown wasour first teacher. She is still giving the children their first taste ofschool work in the Ellettsville school. Miss Louise Van Buskirk taughtus in our second year. The next year, our third, Miss Ethel Oliver tookus in hand. The fifth grade was taught by Miss Inez Litten, and thesixth by Miss Frances Kelly. In 1932-33 we started as a large classin the seventh grade. Miss Bernice McCord was our sponsor in theseventh and eighth grades.As freshmen, Mr. Victor Boyd was our sponsor and our officerswere: Mildred Ratliff, president; Garland Ranard, vice-president;Alexander Muir, secretary; and Charles Jackson, treasurer. Duringthis year we had many good times at parties and especially at theFreshman Banquet.As sophomores, Mr. Boyd was again our sponsor; Ethel Miller,president; Alexander Muir, vice-president; Wallace Freeman, secretary ; and Charles Jackson, treasurer. Freshman day was eliminatedthis year; it was rather rough, at that.In our junior year our officers were: Mr. Boyd, sponsor; Alexander Muir, president; Ethel Miller, vice-president, and Mary AliceEads, secretary and treasurer. We entertained the seniors with abanquet in the old gymnasium. During the year the class gave a three-act play, Professor Pepp, and sold candy at the ball games.This year, our last in E. H. S., eight boys represent the seniorson the basketball squad. There are thirty seniors. Our sponsors areMiss Esther Raines and Miss Frances Harding. The officers are:Alexander Muir, president; Ethel Miller, vice-president; Dorothy Jackson, secretary; and Mary Alice Eads, treasurer.During our last year we have been quite busy. Our first activityof the season was a Halloween Frolic; the senior English class gavea three-act play, The Ginger Girl; everyone worked hard to makethe Llamarada a success; a good cast presented One Delirious Night;and completed their activities of the last week. |
