From what they sayShe can beat your time any day.Virginia Shigley, school wouldnt miss,Thinks playing hooky an awful disgrace.Shell do her best, though tisnt tops,And her 4H work she never drops.Billy Kelly, as the saying goes,A certain girl steps on his toes;Its really enough to make him failWith two Senior girls on his trail!Grant Stewart, our class president,Will make a very good resident—Hes here, away, and everywhere,Always helping a pal over there.Jane McCown, small and fair,At the piano shell do her share;Rather quiet, not much to say,You never find her in the way.Glen Stines, a favorite of all,Is quite good at playing ball.He may not take studying serious—But the way he plays ball is furious!Sigrid Moffatt, sometimes late for books, Ruth Stultz, whats this we hear,Knows a Senior struck on her looks. That your over-joyed June is near?Shes never afraid to take a dare— My! My! and as a nice little wifeAnd treats everyone alike and fair. Shell love, honor, and obey for life!Norma Myers, small and sweet—In flirting sure cant be beat!She never has much to say—But with the boys she has a way.Rozelle Trowbridge, so we hear,Thinks eighth grade boys are dear.To like them all she thinks is fun,So she hasnt picked a certain one.Mamie Oliver, bashful and quiet,Can blush and giggle quite allright.As a guitar player shell do,And help honor Ellettsville school.Garnet Truesdel, according to rule,Wouldnt miss a day of school;She really is a friendly gal—As to us all she is a pal.Junior Olsson, known as hot-shot,Seems to enjoy school a lot!As a student, well admit hes good—Hed probably skip school if he could!Coziene Weathers, polite and nice,Always tells the same thing twice;Girls arent much along his line—But as a student he really does fine.Jeanne Ranard, our assistant treasurer,Thinks school is quite a pleasure;Friendly and with a quick smile,Talking to her is well worth while.Eugene Weaver, sometimes called Smokey,In getting to school may be pokey;Likes to stay around filling-stations—And with the girls takes his rations.Warren Schooling thinks hes in luck;On one of our Seniors hes badly struck!We really couldnt blame her though,For hes one of the best lads we know.Mary Winkler, or should we say Kate ?The honor roll will usually rate;An easy laugh, a ready smile,She makes our school well worth while.Caroline Sears, a popular Miss,Any handsome boy would kiss;And as for church shes always there.To her it means thought and care.Twenty-three
