Smithville defeated our team inthe second game, the score being 38 to 14.Morgantown again came up for defeat in the Sectional Tournament held in Bloomington. This time theBlack and Gold took their measures by a 17 to 16 scorein one of the best games of the tournament. Martinsville, winners of the tourney next came to our attention.During the first eight or nine minutes E. H. S. gavethem plenty to do but success in this case was too muchto hope for and the final score was 57 to 14, Martinsville. Ellettsville scored more points against Martinsville than any other team.The following men qualified for positions on the firstteam: Harley Wright, Clarence Eakin, Ivan Rice, JohnStansbury, Robert Wampler, Kelsey Hawkins, EugeneWelch, and Dwight Rowe.The second team members wrere Virgil Hendricks,Charles Price, Fred Herod, John Kelly, and WalterSmith.We lose by graduation this year Bunny Wright, GeneWelch, John Kelly, and Virgil Hendricks. Nine men return.The prospects for next year are very encouraging.Many experienced men are left on the squad and shouldstart next vears season with a bang.
