The Future Homemakers of America organization was founded in 1945 with chapters in both the UnitedStates and Puerto Rico, and the Ellettsville unit was instituted in February, 1951. Its purpose is to train youngwomen to be worthy homemakers of tomorrow.In their monthly meetings the local members hold interesting panel and round table discussions on suchtopics as teen-age problems and family relationships.
