Description: )raven Mobre^4\ McGlothlinraken by Jeremy HoganHarrison Cdffegham ^44Junior Eyan Coldren had a veryunfortunate start to his junior year footballseason. During the month of August, Coldrenwas hanging out with a couple of friends whenhe started to experience a pain in his stomachthat he had never felt before. After attendingcamps all summer and working hard in practiceto better himself for the upcoming season,Coldren had to have surgery to remove hisappendix. He then found out his surgery wouldnot allow him to be able to play for six weeks.numoer or prayers w<5 small, but we worked with what we had,and we fried our best as a team, juniorColdren said. We had to go out there andhave fun, do what we do, let it all out.Eyan has been putting his full focus onfootball in the hopes of getting a scholarship for, college. After figuring out that he was going tomiss a lot of this year, he knew that his statswould not be as good as he knew they could be.,Despite this setback, he was still able to be aleader for his team. The defensive line was verydependent on Coldren, for he always boostedtheir spirits when they were low and he helpedgive them direction on what to do on the field. When Eyan returned, the team and atmospherechanged dramatically.Photo taken by ChrisHowell / Herald-Times
