Senior Skip Day is a commonlyunderstood idea among highschool students, but here atEdgewood, there really isnt askip day per se. Theadministration takes it uponthemselves to plan a skip day ofsorts, but instead makes itpossible for the whole senior classto go to Holiday World if theybring in $35.My favorite part about the senior trip is seeing the students have agreat time together. When we got back on the bus last week, I asked thestudents around me if they had fun, and was it worth the time to plan thetrip. They all stated it was great! One person said he had no idea whatthe senior trip was about, but it was better than he even thought it wouldbe. I loved that comment! I hope all seniors appreciate this last opportunityto be together. I laughingly tell the seniors that this might be their last tripon a big yellow school bus ... until they attend their childs field trip. - Mr. Ackerman |
