My favorite thing about SmashCancer was representing my mom my junior yearby wearing a pink shirt, because she had beendiagnosed with breast cancer, and representing herduring that was very special to me, said seniorTyler Lunn. Smash Cancer is a regular match thatcounts toward their record, but it has thatimportant message behind it. We are representingpeople who survived, died, or are dealing with itright now and raising awareness, said Lunn. This year, the boys came out with the winwhile they kept a very important cause in mind. Each shirt represents a different type of cancer andthe players get the choice of which color theychoose. My favorilFpart of Smash Cancer isgetting the different shirts to support the differenttypes of cancer in order to raise money for them, said senior Austin Hammond.North Daviess3-2Greencastle3-2Bloomington North0-5Owen Valley5-0Indian Creek2-3Linton4-1Crawfordsville InviteFifthBloomfield4-13rown CountylSmash Cancer!4-1Mustang InviteSullivanWhite River ValleyThird5-05-0Crossover: West Vigo2-3Martinsville0-5Bedford North Lawrence0-5Sectionals: Martinsville0-5 |
