Description:	CLASS OF 2013You did it!The 2013 commencement speaker was Mrs. Angie Ross. Her speechhad one major theme: perseverance. She told the class of 2013 to Live life tothe fullest and never give up. This class has and will continue to live up to Mrs.loss words of wisdom. Olivia Ashba has decided to start living her life runningtrack at Ball State University. Taylor Mullins will be playing volleyball atFranciscan University. Trevor Selburg will be shooting hoops at FranklinUniversity while Reece Phillips stays right here at home, playing baseball forIndiana University. Not only has this class excelled in extracurricular activities,they have excelled academically as well.This years Valedictorian was Kevin Wells. Wells scored a 2110 on his SATsand became a Merit Scholar, accomplishments he has been reaching for hisentire high school career. Wells will be attending Ball State University to major inmusic or to become a math teacher. The 2013 Salutatorian was Trae Carroll.Carroll received the J.P. Morgan Chase Scholarship. Carroll was more than justa student at Edgewood High School. He started an annual Huntingtons DiseaseWalk in memory of his mother who passed away from HD just a few years ago.He has raised over $24,000 for Huntingtons Disease awareness. Carroll will beattending Indiana University to double major in biotechnology and neurobiology.Both Wells and Carroll have risen up to the occasion to have such honors;however, they, as well as the entire graduating class, could not haveaccomplished all that they did without their class officers.Trey Pogue was the 2013 class president. He will be attending MillikinUniversity to major in music. The vice president and Pogues partner in crimewas Nick Entrekin. Entrekin will be attending Ball State University to major inarchitecture. Secretary Brittany Power will be attending Indiana State Universityin the fall to major in pre-med, and the 2013 treasurer, Brady Ditton, will beattending Purdue University to major in either engineering or optometry. Thisclass was determined to excel and determined to achieve greatness.Determined is the word that Edgewood High School has given to this graduatingclass. They were determined to make it to graduation and with that milestonereached, they plan to live life to the fullest. Congratulations Class of 2013.
