Description:	OVERCOMINGOBSTACLESThe boys golf team was a young andinexperienced group saddled withinjuries all year long. That did notprevent them from noticing theindividual standout performances andthe fun bus rides home.The team was young this year andwe struggled, but it was always nice tosee an individual come through in anygiven round and play well, sophomoreJonas Carmichael said.Despite the aforementioned obstacles,the team saw several players improvethroughout the season. Carmichael saidsophomore Drew Duncan, junior DaltonSPRINGIl07Brown and junior Alan Thrasher made bigleaps from last season. He said that setsthe team up for a promising future.The team had to really appreciate littlethings because for us its a workingprogress to the top, Carmichael said.The Mustangs finished the season with adual record of 6-12 and tied for fourth inthe WIC match.Carmichael advanced toregionals after shooting a 79 at sectionalsand made the Western Indiana All-Conference team.You cant understand the joys andfrustrations of golf until you play it.Altogether, this golf season was a greatseason to be a part of, junior Chris VanAllen said.
