Description: WINTER 63STANG WARMT DOWNTOWNB-TOWNSSftSeventy-five kids and three teachers all hideaway from the cold in the downtown pizzarestaurant, Cafe Pizzaria. As a tradition, thethree language clubs come together during thewinter and sing traditional carols downtown onKirkwood. We go [caroling] because it gets theclubs together and its a holiday activity the kidsenjoy, German teacher Frau Norris said. Thiswinter, the language clubs tried somethingdifferent than the past years groups. Weactually walked together, all thelanguages for the most of the time. Itwas different than past years, Frenchteacher Madame Tiller said. After carolingfor almost five years, the teachers haveaccumulated many stories about theirexperiences. We sometimes run intopeople who speak German, who arehappy to hear our carols, Frau Norrissaid. While caroling has its pros, italso comes with its cons. [I donti like] when its too cold and we cantfind a parking spot, MadameTiller said. Spanish teacher Ms.Norman had an exciting timewith her Spanish kids whilehaving a sing-off with theFrench Club. We [theSpanish club] were on oneside of the street and thek French group was onthe other side of thejj^ street and we werehaving the realngle-off singingJingle Bells asloud as wecould andshouting andshaking ourfist, Ms.Normansaid.
